iphonenation.com first went online in January 2007, as a fan site waiting for the original iPhone. The domain then changed hands several times and spent years parked. The current site has no connection with any earlier owner or team: it reuses the name and the subject, the price of the iPhone, and nothing else. None of the old articles has been republished.
What we do
We track what each iPhone costs, in the US, the UK and across Europe, and write buying guides around those numbers. The point of view is the buyer's: which model is worth its price, where the same phone is cheaper, how much of it you get back when you sell.
How prices are checked
- Source. Current prices are read from Apple's own online store in each country, for the base storage of each model, on the date shown at the top of every page. They are list prices: carriers and retailers often sell for less.
- US prices are quoted before sales tax, as Apple quotes them. European and UK prices include VAT. That difference alone explains much of the gap, and we say so wherever we compare them.
- Conversions between currencies use the European Central Bank reference rate of the date given on the page.
- Specs come from Apple's specification pages. Third-party figures, such as resale studies, are named and dated in the text.
- Historical prices come from Apple's press releases of the time and, for the carrier-only years in Europe, from press coverage of each launch.

What we do not do
We do not sell phones, take commissions, accept free review units or run ads. The site sets no cookies and loads no analytics or tracking scripts. It does not ask for your email address.
Independence
iPhone Nation is an independent publication, not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by Apple Inc. iPhone, iPhone Air, iPhone Duo and Apple are trademarks of Apple Inc., registered in the U.S. and other countries. The name of this site describes its subject, nothing more.
Mistakes
Prices change, and Apple changes them without notice, as it did on September 9, 2026. If a number here is out of date, the date on the page tells you how old it is. The site is published anonymously and does not offer a contact form; corrections are made when prices are rechecked, and the date stamp on each page says when that last happened.
